What we do
Four things, done properly.
It is what is painted on the front of the shed, and it is what we actually spend the week doing. If it is outside our patch we will tell you, and usually point you at whoever in town can sort it.
Rego inspections
Pink slips done on site by a licensed repairer. Book it in, we go over it, and you get told straight away what has to be fixed and what can wait.
Log book servicing
Your new car service stamped in the book, to the manufacturer schedule, without going near a dealership. Your warranty stays exactly where it is.
Wheel alignments
Back up and running on our own alignment gear. If the car is pulling to one side or you are chewing through the edge of a tyre, this is usually why.

We are doing wheel alignments again.
The alignment gear is back in the workshop and booked in alongside everything else. If the steering wheel sits off centre, the car wanders on the highway, or you are wearing the inside edge off a set of tyres, an alignment is usually the cheapest thing you can do about it.
Worth doing after new tyres, after suspension work, and after you have found a decent pothole on the way in from the farm.

The workshop
Two hoists, one shed, no waiting list a mile long.
Westy’s runs out of a purpose built shed on Kollas Drive, on the industrial side of Cowra. Two post hoists on both bays, alignment gear, and enough room to get a car up and properly underneath it rather than guessing from the top.
Everything from a modern Commodore in for a service through to somebody’s weekend project. The old gear gets the same attention as the new gear, which is not something every workshop in the district will say.

Who you are dealing with
A small crew that keeps learning.
Westy’s Garage is Mark West’s workshop. The name on the shed is his, and so is the red and white Holden usually sitting out the front of it.
Samuel works alongside him and has come through Auto-Tech Masterclass training in advanced air and fuel diagnostics, which is the sort of thing that matters when a car has a fault a code reader alone will not explain. Modern engines do not always tell you the truth the first time you ask.
Westy’s is also listed with The Automotive Technician, the technical network independent workshops in Australia use to keep up with new systems as they land.
